Williamson Museum Project:
Williamson Museum 2017 Calendar Project, Artist Statement
Located on the edge of the Hill Country in Central Texas, Williamson County is a wonderful and diverse place to live. Steeped with a colorful history, our county is full of vibrant and fast growing cities; not to forget the quieter, rural areas full of corn and cotton fields, farms, cattle ranches and small communities.
The Williamson Museum, located in historic Georgetown, Texas, is a non profit corporation established in 1997. The heritage, culture and history of Williamson County is the top priority for the museum. Local citizens, as well as out of town visitors, find the museum an educational, friendly and fun place to learn about the county.
Late in the summer of 2015, the museum asked me to contribute the photographs for their 2017 calendar. Many cultural and historical interests of the six largest cities, as well as the rural areas of the county are represented.
Creating the photographs and contributing to such a worthy organization has been an honor and a delight. I hope you enjoy the photographs I have captured that reflect this great Texas County.
